This Light-Emitting Diode (LED) Glass Chess Set measures approximately 15 3/4" W x 15 3/4" L x 1" H. The chessmen in this set illuminate through a special conductive electrical powered chess board. Each chess piece carries an embedded long-life LED (60,000 hours) that is powered wirelessly when the chess piece is moved and set on the board.
The board utilizes an A/C adapter to power and feed the chess pieces. No batteries required! Power and illumination is transferred to the chess pieces using wireless conductive technology.
While the pieces sit on the board they are illuminated and "alive", as each chess piece is removed and lifted approximately 4 inches from the board (away from the wireless conductive power source), they will fade and become dead. A totaly unique concept and great game experience.
