This is a European Walnut Executive chess board made from weistminster. The walnut use to create this chessboard is European walnut which is not as dark as the commun black walnut seen in North America.The grain is usually straight, but may occasionally be also wavy. European walnut has an extremely high natural durabilty. The chessboard measures 20" x 20" with 2-1/4" squares.
